Route 128 Factoid

According to one story, when the main portion of Route 128 was finally complete and readied for opening ceremonies, there was one glitch. The elephants that were expected to lead the parade refused to walk on the hot tarmac, causing a delay in the program and an parade that had to eventually go on minus the pachyderms.
